Endometriosis is a condition most common to women in their 20s to 40s. The cells lining in the uterus break away and grow outside the uterine cavity. These cells can implant themselves in many area of the pelvis, including the ovaries, ligaments of the uterus, cervix, appendix, bowel and bladder. Just like the regular lining of the uterus, these implants response to normal stimulation and can cause bleeding in the pelvic cavity.
